As luck would have it, Sam found a branch that looked just like antlers. He tied it to the top of his head with his jingle bell collar.

“Now I look just like a reindeer,” he said. Feeling quite pleased, Sam walked on, holding his head topped with tree branch antlers high.

He met many new forest creatures along the way. When he stopped to drink cool water from a stream, a great barn owl greeted him from a snow-covered branch high in the tree.

“Good heavens. What are you-HOOT?” asked the owl.
